Week 1, Post-Trial: Eleanor

[Maybe ordinarily this wouldn't be a very good time to be celebrating, but...it feels like there's a lot to be celebrating about. Her friends are gonna be okay this week and they found another reaper! The only death tomorrow is going to be someone who deserves it. Also, Eleanor made a promise, so when Mary sees her, she waves her over.]

Do we still get to do something fun?

[ It may be an inopportune time but she finds it to be a necessary change of pace. For Mary, and truthfully for herself too. ]

Of course, I promised, did I not?

[ And Eleanor always made good on her promises. ]

Do you know what you want yet?

I haven't decided...I want to do something that would be fun for you, too.

[As Eleanor gets close, Mary, of course, grabs onto her sleeve.]

I wanted ice cream, but the ice cream machine is still broken...

[Goddamn it, McDonalds.]

Oh? You don't have to. This is a celebration for you after all.

[ No ice cream machine but.. ]

It might take a bit of work, and it might not be perfect— but I know how to make ice cream without a machine. Granted, we would have to sneak behind the counter..

[ But you know what, after this week? They don't owe McDonald's anything. ]

As long as we don't attract too much attention to ourselves it should be fine.

[Maybe if they knew how Wednesday was gonna go in the future they'd choose something different for a celebration. As it is, Mary gasps in conspiratorial delight.]
