Week 5, Tuesday: Ichigo

[It's been rough for everyone. Ichigo already knew how Mary had been feeling--she was pretty weepy most of Sunday, but it's gotten to a bit of a point where something's gotta give. It's getting late, and she should be heading inside to claim a mattress...but here she is, curled up in the creepiest coin machine, asleep, chuchu merrily eating fries at her side. At this point, she doesn't even care to move.]

[He had a feeling he'd find her here - it has been a rough weekend for her, and the rides would be something any child would be drawn to.

So when he finds her there, he doesn't do much more than smile gently to himself, picking her up and carefully taking her to the mattress store in his arms - motioning for chuchu to hitch a ride on his shoulders as he does so.

It doesn't take him long to get inside and set her down on a mattress, sitting next to her and waiting for her to wake up, not wanting to leave her alone and have her be confused when she opens her eyes.]

[As Chuchu climbs his way up Ichigo's arms, Mary coils easily into him, her arms instinctively wrapping around his neck and holding herself close to him as she sleeps. But she wakes up slowly once he sets her down, maybe from the absence of his warmth pressing into her.]

Ichigo?

[She reaches for him even before she opens her eyes all the way.]

I could tell it was you. Did I fall asleep?
