Week 2, Post-Investigation: Caren

[So, people are probably trying to keep Mary away from the ashen disaster zone that is Hits 'n' Giggles. The bodies are gone, but it's not exactly a good place for her to be. Still, she'll find her way back there eventually, fretting as she moves through the burned up ruins trying to gather up all the damaged masks and mannequins. Naturally, her dress is getting rather dirty.]

[It's been hard not to turn back here after everything that happened, though the air is still thick with the remains of fire and it seems strange to be walking around the scene once it's cleared.

Friends had never really been much of a concern of hers. Ah, isolation had been better, after all.

She isn't startled, really, to see Mary in here after hearing her cry earlier. She doesn't try to pull her away, either, but stands at the side of the room, arms crossed around her waist.]

You cared for them, didn't you? I'm certain they can feel that, even now.

[withsadness]

You think so?

[She pulls out a halfway melted, warped piece of plastic that was once a beautiful arm. The hand is barely recognizable, and it's become blackened. Mary looks down at it sadly.]

I wonder if I was enough.

[sexorcism]

[Eyes closed, Caren nods. She takes a few steps closer, though she doesn't touch any of the burned displays just yet.]
