[So Lenka will find Mary...sprawled out on her back, hands on her stomach and staring up sleepily at nothing. It's been a long day. She's tired, kitty.]

[And that's just fine: he's tired too, a numb and wrung-out sort of exhaustion that goes down to the bone. He doesn't know how much of him will be left, eventually, trial after trial after trial later.

Eventually, he'll pick himself back up. Eventually, he'll figure out how to walk forward, and how to carry all the new ghosts this week. How to carry all of this.

Right now he's fine with curling right up on the floor by her and tucking his big nose into her side. He doesn't say anything, for now.

I didn't like that. I feel sad.

[But it helps to have Lenka's comforting presence. She puts a hand against his big fluffy head.]

[His ears flick a little bit when her hand lands, but he doesn't open his eyes. He's not really drifting off, though. There's too much flying through his head, still.]
