Week 5, Thursday - Ice Cream Party!

[Who knows when they're going to have an ice cream Parlor and a working McFlurry machine in the same week ever again. Since...their numbers are going to be slimmer in the morning, Mary devised a plan! Everyone currently still playing in the Reaper Game will at some point within the earlier half of the day find themselves given a hand-drawn invitation to come have fun in Mint to Be before curfew. Even Max gets an invite, somehow! She'll make it happen.

Everything is basically normal here, except that she has spread glitter on the tables for dramatic effect (yes she's been holding onto this all month) and has posted a hand drawn sign that proudly proclaims PARTY HERE!!! So come get ice cream, share, have fun! Let's celebrate the magic of friendship and probably cry!]

[Here is Assassin eating a very tall strawberry parfait.]

I'll let you try mine if you let me try yours!

[But before you can accept, he's reaching out to get a scoop of your ice cream anyway...]

[and assassin is already going for it

well. seizaburo will counter by going for a scoop of his strawberry parfait!]

Hah!

Oh! Nice one!

[He can't even be mad, yo.]

Hey, what is this?

[He says as he EATS IT ANYWAY.]

Azuki bean! ...and I think the green one is green tea?

[It is, in fact, green tea. And not mint.]

I didn't realize they could make ice cream out of this...! Shibuya is full of wonders, isn't it? Do you think the people who live here eat this every day?

Yum!

Everyday? Nah. The people of Shibuya are just like you and me, amigo. Would you eat this stuff everyday? Well... I think I would until I got sick, though.

...I don't know that I would by myself, but... Sensei probably would...

[and seizaburo would probably get dragged along for the ride tbh]

Regardless, it's all very tasty. I wonder how they come up with all the flavors?

Mad scientists? [he chuckles] I dunno! I'm just as clueless as you are there, Seizaburo. But the future's pretty great, isn't it? People come up with some pretty cool stuff.

But you know, I don't think we woulda ever gotten this far if we didn't learn how to work together.

Well - hey!

[Sinbad exclaims as Assassin reaches for his lemon and rosewater sorbet. Of course it'll be tart, but there's a sweet, floral taste to keep it from being too sour]

...You could've waited to see if I said yes first.

Ehhhh. [ He's bad! What's Sinbad gonna do about it!!!

He leans his elbows on the table, savoring the ice cream in his mouth... ]

Mm.... Could be better. What is it?

It's a Sorbet, with lemon and rosewater.

[He'll take some of the strawberry while Assassin's considering the taste]

Thought I'd start with something light and not too rich.

[He sort of laughs.] You're eating more than one? Wow, and I thought I was going all out.

Well, I think I earned it.

[He lifts his chin slightly at that, though his tone is half-joking]

[Mary pounces her way over to Assassin, beyond excited. She moves her hand out of the way, dodging his greedy fingers. Not so fast! leaning up on her toes, she makes her demands!]

Open!

[She has a spoonful of ice cream ready to feed him.]

Ahaha— Woah, hey!

[ Assassin laughs. She's faster than he is! Ah, he's so proud. Alright, alright. He'll indulge her. Besides, this is indulging himself, too.

He leans in and opens his mouth. ]

Aaaaaaah.

Aaaaah!

[There's not really any reason for her to echo his "feed me" noise but she learns from example. Beware, world. Mary puts the scoop of ice cream into his mouth. Assassin will discover...it's butterscotch!]

[CHOMP

I'm kidding, he doesn't bite. But he does eat the entire scoop!]

Oh, not bad! I like it! Is it your favorite, Mary?

Nope! I'm still deciding on my favorite--there are a lot of flavors!

[She's going to make herself sick, probably, but here she is, planning on trying like every single flavor she can get her hands on.]

[Despite being able to fuckin' teleport, Hermann is Too Slow.

But the joke's on Assassin, because he's apparently mixed mint and coffee flavors. Is he even human??? Enjoy that.]

... Which side haven't you eaten off of?

[Yeah well too bad life's not fair.]

[But he'll just take liberties with what seems to be an uneaten portion. It's objectively better than Hermann's abomination but his everything is broken so:]

It's very sweet, don't you think?

[Hermann, you are the opposite of a gourmand and he hates you.]

It's awesome is what it is! Don't you know that high sugar intake is bad for you? That's why it's so good!

Seriously though, you shouldn't eat it if you don't want those cavities.

[Yeah he's Bad.]

To be honest with you, I'm not sure mine is much better.

[He shrugs, though.]

We are, technically, dead already.

... I didn't think you were a strawberry kind of person.

[Lenka's got... toffee? Some strange mixture of toffee and nuts and maybe chocolate. It is very chocolatey and totally delicious, because he is totally a cat who can eat chocolate. Perks of being a horrorcat.

He's not too bothered by Assassin going after his ice cream -- half his own blood must be ice cream now after this week -- but how is he... going to return the favor.]

And, uh, can you scoop some out?

[Unless you want him licking your parfait, that is.]

Strawberry's just one of my many, many favorites. Here you go, my feline friend!

[He uses Lenka's unused spoon to take a scoop of parfait and feed it to him.]

Aaah.

[Why this. Lenka gives him a startled glance and tries to back up for a moment, but it's really just that he didn't think his request through.

...

He takes the spoonful, but just this once, because he asked for it. This is super embarrassing?? He's not going to say 'aaah'.]
