Taako and Magnus seemed pretty active during the trial. [also: hilarious (still on notice re: humanity though)] If you can, they'd be good people to look into as allies. Undine and Newton are definitely worthwhile too. Are you comfortable approaching them in the future?

Yeah. I don't know that Magnus, um... Solved very much? But he tried. And Taako seems clever.

I can definitely keep talking to them, at least enough to stay on good terms. Undine is easy to talk to, and Newt and I played golf - we have the same psych.

Magnus has a lot of passion, too. [tried to axe Dahlia and all! something to watch out for]

If you're comfortable with that, then I think it will be fine. At the very least, it's best if we can all try to make ourselves someone others won't want to kill.

Since Jacopo seems worried about Magnus especially, do you think you could try picking up anything interesting about him? Ways to keep him away from us or point him in certain people's directions. Like you said, it could be useful, and it looks like you're the best one to take care of it.

I'll - try? It's not like I'm some master manipulator, though. I can... Lie. I can do bad things.

But it's not like I'm great at people-chess.

I wouldn't say that you have to be. At any rate, people are never like chess pieces that you can move one way or another, because the human heart is unpredictable. Rather, if you can learn more about them and try to understand them, then it's easier to give them a little nudge in the direction you want them to go. They might not take it, but that isn't really our main focus right now.

Simply, I'd ask that you try to understand Magnus and Taako, so that we can understand them too.

You probably noticed, Alex, but I'm a sketchy guy. Rather, I don't intend on revealing my blindness except by having someone call me out on never using my left hand for anything. If I get called out on that, I'll drop the act. In other words, letting someone unmasked me is premised on them first believing that the lie about my dominant hand is true. In that way, it's a confirmation of my sketchiness, but a misdirection of attention.
